About Me

Why did I choose Wesco?

At that time I needed a flexible job that would also offer a steady paycheck.

What were your first impressions of Wesco?

I though, yeah, I can do this, and huh so that's how that works.

Year 1

Sales & Deli Associate @ Wesco 19

I started on third shift at the Whitehall Road, Whitehall Wesco as a Sales Associate. Back then that Wesco had cold deli production, so I got to learn cold and hot deli. I learned a lot in my three years at that location. I completed. Sales Associate 1, Food Service Associate 1, and started Sales Associate 2.

Year 3

Sales & Deli Associate @ Wesco 14

I moved to the Maple Island, Fremont Wesco as the Assistant Manager and learned how to work with different types of associates and how to handle many different opportunities. I completed all my training for Sales Associate, Hot Deli, and Bakery. I grew a ton personally at this location. I loved 7 Habits and graduated from Leadership Academy. I got my first chance to Manage a store while my manager was away on maternity leave. While she was away I had to think fast on my feet. There was construction at the store, and I am pretty sure that every worst-case scenario we planned for happened.

Year 7

Manager @ Wesco 51

I was presented with the chance to run the Rothbury Wesco location while the current manager was away on maternity leave. I remember being super excited for a change and nervous to meet a new team. It was while I was filling in that the stores manager position became open, and I soon became the official manager. Rothbury was an amazing place for me to truly step into who I wanted to be as a manager. I was able to organize and plan for the crazy summers there and in the slower seasons travel to other locations and help out. My team and Wesco as a whole were caring and supportive during the loss of both my parents 10 months apart. It was a rough time, but I was able to get through with the help of my Wesco Family.

Year 11

Manager @ Wesco 09

I was ready for a change in life and took an adventure out to the beautiful town of Plainwell, and it's Wesco location. I had a blast building and help the store adjust to the many changes that came our way. I was only there for a short time but got a chance to step out into the community more.

Year 12

Subway & Sales Associate @ Wesco 18

I started a family and wanted to be closer to my now fiancé and sister. I decided to step down and take a chance to learn Subway. I came to the North Muskegon Wesco/Subway and got the chance to really dig into Subway and learn everything I could before the birth of my beautiful baby girl.

Year 14

Customer Service @ Wesco Corperate

Vernetta took a chance on me and now I am working front desk as a Customer Service Representative, and one day a week I work under in Payroll.

Looking Back

What would I want someone just starting out to know?

Take a deep breath you will get there, remember its ok to ask for help.
